“Next: Is Nick Saban seeking the impossible? The Nick Saban pitch is NIL payouts and other potential financial rewards will come later for Alabama Crimson Tide players. The seven SEC teams ranked higher than the Crimson Tide have between five and 11 verbal commits. The Alabama Crimson Tide has only three verbal commits for the 2023 class. Nick Saban wants Alabama Football to do NIL right In challenging Texas A&M’s recruiting in the 2022 cycle, Saban appears to be holding fast to the ‘do it right’ position, no matter what other programs are doing.”
“How it could play out is the SEC having an eight-team playoff after its regular season. It might be the Big Ten champion, as CFB becomes dominated by a ‘Power Two.’ Next: True freshmen SEC difference-makers Alabama football fans would be among the first to embrace an SEC Playoff. Afterward, the SEC Playoff winner could play another team for the National Championship. Attention on Alabama Football and Texas A&M conflict Next week, SEC ADs and football coaches will have their annual spring meetings.”
