Now onto the News, Rumors, and Commentary…

“SEC Women’s Freshman Runner of the Week Addy Stevenson of Katy, Texas, was part of that dominant Rebel women’s team win at UNA last week, leading all Ole Miss freshmen with a 13th-place finish at 17:14.20 in her first career race as a Rebel. Her time stands as the second-fastest 5K run by a freshman in the SEC this season. Her time stands as the fastest regular season 5K run in the SEC since 2019, and the 10th-fastest overall in the SEC since the 2016 season. Boogerd was named the 2019 SEC Freshman of the Year after finishing 19th overall at the conference meet that season.”

“Ole Miss is throwing to the tight end eight percent of the time, and the longest reception of the season to that position is 10 yards. Ole Miss has allowed one sack this season against a three-man rush, and Corral averages nine yards per pass attempt against no blitz. Opponents have thrown at Jones 10 times this season and completed only four, though yards after the catch was a problem on three of the four receptions. As shown above, the Rebels are relying on wide receivers to handle the pass-catching so far this season, though Ole Miss did put a little tight end action into play against Tulane, as Chase Rogers caught two passes for the second time this season.”
